A lot of office furniture buyers still treat board supply and finished furniture as two separate problems. One PO for panels, another for desks and workstations, then someone in the middle tries to make the colors match. It works — until a batch of melamine comes in half a shade off, or the edge banding on the desks doesn't line up with the cabinets.
That's the gap we've been closing for years. Shanghai Lanran Furniture handles finished goods: executive desks, staff workstations, conference tables, chairs, filing cabinets, the usual commercial range. Jiangxi Province Lanran New Materials, based in the High-tech Zone of Yushan County, Shangrao, runs the panel side — melamine particle board, MDF, faced plywood. Same ownership group. Same quality system. Different buildings, shared schedule.
Why does this matter on a purchase order? Three practical reasons.
First, color and grain consistency. When the board plant and the furniture line pull from the same décor library, you get fewer “close enough” surprises at unpacking. We've had distributors tell us this alone cut their return rate on mixed container loads.
Second, lead time. If a buyer needs both raw panels for local fabrication and finished pieces for a showroom, we can stage them on one production calendar instead of waiting on an outside mill. Third, accountability. One team owns the sample, the mass production, and the packing list. If something is wrong, you don't get bounced between a board supplier and a furniture OEM.
